حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رضى الله عنها أَنَّ قُرَيْشًا، أَهَمَّهُمْ شَأْنُ الْمَخْزُومِيَّةِ، فَقَالُوا مَنْ يَجْتَرِئُ عَلَيْهِ إِلاَّ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حِبُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏

il a dit: "Une femme de Bani Makhzumiya a commis un vol et les gens ont dit:" Qui peut intercéder auprès du Prophète (no) pour elle?'Alors personne n'a osé lui parler (c'est-à-dire le Prophète) mais Oussama ben Zaid lui a parlé. Le Prophète a dit: "Si un homme de bonne réputation parmi les enfants de Bani Israël commettait un vol, ils lui pardonnaient, mais si un pauvre commettait un vol, ils lui couperaient la main. Mais je couperais même la main de Fatima (c'est-à-dire la fille du Prophète) si elle commettait un vol."
