حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏"‏ إِذَا دَخَلَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْتَهُ فَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِ وَعِنْدَ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ لاَ مَبِيتَ لَكُمْ وَلاَ عَشَاءَ وَإِذَا دَخَلَ فَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ دُخُولِهِ قَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ أَدْرَكْتُمُ الْمَبِيتَ فَإِذَا لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ أَدْرَكْتُمُ الْمَبِيتَ وَالْعَشَاءَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Rapporté par Umayyah ibn Makhshi

Umayyah était assis et un homme mangeait. Il n’a pas mentionné le nom d’Allah jusqu’à ce qu’il reste le dernier morceau. Lorsqu’il l’eut porté à sa bouche, il dit : « Au nom d’Allah, au commencement et à la fin. » Le Prophète (صلى الله عليه وسلم) a ri et a dit : « Le diable continuait à manger avec lui, mais quand il a mentionné le nom d’Allah, il a vomi ce qu’il y avait dans son ventre.
